    Hi Doc!

I require your knowledge, although my question may seem a little foolish.

Would you happen to remember which keyboard sample was used for the intro of ‘Calling Elvis’ (‘On the Night’ version)?
I’m referring to that single note (C#) played along with the drum brushes before the whole band starts (dee-dee-dee-dee). Was that a Roland? Could you remember the sample name?

Sorry for this strange question but I found that detail delicious.

    Cheers!

Was it triggered from backstage by a crew member (your keyboard tech) ?

Sorry for the delay, It was originally from the Synclavier and then sampled from the album onto an Akai S1100 (subsequently S6000) for live use. On that tour it was actually triggered from a keyboard backstage as the band weren’t on the stage at that point.

Well… I think I found it somewhere in the old forum. The Wichita lineman sound 🙂 (Sorry for bothering you!!)
