Basel is a lovely and leafy at this time of year
It was quite an early start for most of us but as usual we all convene at a private lounge in Luton before departing. A pleasant surprise was to be re-united with a beloved Gulfstream G4 aircraft. On the one hour and five minutes! magic carpet ride to Basle we were all completely famished so the delights of the on-board luncheon were well received. As usual, we're there before we know it and it was off the plane and straight to the venue. The size of the stage was a bit of a shock since we've been used to a more 'intimate' venue recently but it was a lovely room and a very professional local crew who were helpful in the extreme and made everything very comfortable. A nice sound check and then Mark had a whole host of interviews to do. The gig itself we really enjoyed even if we were a little rusty in places there were some great sounds emanating. Considering the size of the place, it had a nice intimate feel. Thanks Martina for some of the pics.

The rental B3 was a beautiful one. A truly great tone. Just one thing...the leslie switch had been screwed to the inside of the leg, making it almost impossible to use, so Colin (Alfie) Barton went into action and relocated it. It meant reversing the switch too. A fiddly job.
